Nat Slaughter - straight lines

i am not sure if we can find truth within our perception.

                                                                                                           straight lines.

presented are three compositions.  one could say that they are three movements, but it would be more accurate to state that they are three, separate compositions.  the sounds are three, five second audio files recorded in beijing.china, chiang mai.thailand, and lucca.italia. involved with sound design was Csound4.05 and soundHack.

thanks to all of the wondrous.  here's to acute psychotic breakdowns.

J. Smiley & Franklin Lopez

a live multimedia barrage

a performance encompassing image, sound, and bio-feedback

j smiley, an excursion in sound and image.

                musician, experimenter.

                mr smileys specialty is the

personality reassignment of sound producing toy circuits through power drill and

soldering iron.

all mundane functions of these electronic toys disappear in a cloud of dioxin

and lead gas by-product.

leaving only the reverse lobotomized logic core, leading to

                             unforgiving audio, intriguing sonic textures,

spastic educational mishaps, chance

encounters with the unknown and images that shouldn’t be.

Franklin Lopez - Video Artist

Franklin has been making music videos from the time he was 16. His love of technology and his activist mind have kept his films edgy and always with a purpose. His goal is to challenge people's way of thinking by presenting subjects that the mainstream does not dare in new and innovative ways. These days most of Frank's time is devoted to his live act "the stimulator" where he mixes video live and attacks the viewer with "visual chaos" with samples from movies and anything interesting he finds online.
