THE ELECTRIC ARTS ALLIANCE OF ATLANTA PRESENTS

Sci-Fi Remix

AT EYEDRUM, MONDAY, JULY 15, 2002, 8 PM

The Electric Arts Alliance of Atlanta (EAAA) is proud to present an evening of Science Fiction Remixes at Eyedrum on Monday, July 15, 2002 at 8pm.  Science fiction film has served as fertile territory for experimentation and exploration in the electric arts, so it is only proper that the EAAA pay tribute to some of the great SciFi films of the past while also setting our sights on the future.  Several electric artists have taken up the challenge and will perform new soundtracks to remixed SciFi film classics, while others will be presenting their own original SciFi video work - certainly classics in the making.  Please join the EAAA for an exciting sound and light liftoff at the Eyedrum launch pad, Atlanta’s premiere art and music venue for humans.

Performers will include:

-William Kester Brain - something about sirius - video, puppetry, and sound
-FAFF - one part of Figure 1.1 - Port of Communication
-Larvae - an isolationist soundtrack to Andrei Tarkovsky's stark 1979 masterpiece, Stalker
-MODIFY - Michael and Jack Robertson - THX-1138 REMIX: A bleak look at an uncertain future
-Oliver Smith - vintage 16mm astronomy film and live sound
-Shana Wood - Blips - original video work

A $3 donation is requested for admission.
