TEST is a quarterly performance event, giving students and
professional artists an opportunity to perform alongside each other
in various
locations through out Boston. TEST was conceived as having the
following goals: to strengthen the performance art community and to
foster awareness and understanding of an often-misunderstood medium.
Going three years strong, the events showcase both durational and
short works of sound and performance art.

PRESENT TENSE Philip Fryer first saw Sandra Schaefer create
performance art in November of 2003. Intrigued by the nature of the
work, he approached her to learn more about the mind behind the
mayhem and the conversation never stopped. The two agreed to work
together to establish accessible environments for performance art to
be created and witnessed in and The Present Tense performance art
initiative was born. The Present Tense produces performance art
events that are free and open to the public with the common goal of
embracing & community through the open expression of art.
