1. Sex Workers’ Internet Radio Lounge seeks audio
"SWIRL" stands for Sex Workers' Internet Radio Lounge. SWIRL will be
an audio-only webcast where sex workers will have the opportunity to
air their own "radio" programs, present their own songs and poetry
(and other audio art) and share helpful community information. SWIRL
will be both a fun gathering place for sex workers and their friends,
and a place where you can hear important information about sex worker
issues from around the world. For more information about the project,

SWIRL (a not-for-profit, educational internet radio project created
by artist Judy Dunaway) is requesting artistic and/or community-
building audio works by current or former sex workers (of all types).
Contributions can be on ANY topic (not only sex work). You do not
need to identify yourself as a sex worker in your contribution. All
contributions must be original material and must not infringe on
copyrights of other artists. You will retain all rights to your
material. The material will be streamed only (in real time, like a
regular radio station), and will not be made available for download.
For more information about the project, go to:

SWIRL will go on the air in late 2006.
This project is endorsed by Annie Sprinkle. Project advisors include
Carol Leigh (Scarlot Harlot) of Bayswan and Dr. Melissa Ditmore of
the Sex Worker Project of the Urban Justice Center (NYC).
