1. cold storage thanks !!!

thanks to the friends and strangers who came out to cold storage  
(http://routesandmethods.org) the other night. the space erupted into  
sonic and movement chaos as folks played 'duck duck goose', 'spin the  
bottle', 'simon says', and 'twister', or just generally freaked out  
and made some beautiful noise. it was pretty incredible, and most of  
the fabulousness was not my fault at all, but the result of a  
chemical reaction between the space and the incredible energy of  
those present.

2. Nancy Popp at Irrational Exhibits No. 5, saturday (10/21)

i will be assisting the super amazing friend of mine, Nancy Popp,  
with her performance piece, Honeymoon 2, this saturday (10/21) as  
part of Irrational Exhibits No. 5 at Track 16 in Bergamot Station

3. score published in the latest issue of FO(A)RM no. 5

my score for clapping performers, Time after time after . . ., will  
be featured in the upcoming issue of FO(A)RM no. 5 (autonomy), edited  
by Seth Nehil, Bethany Wright, Matthew Marble, and Ashley Edwards.  
this looks to be an amazing issue - just check out the super-hefty

in addition, to celebrate the release, the FO(A)RM editors are going  
all out and have decided convene a festival of sound and video in

4. my video game class featured in GameJew video no. 7

so, as some of you may already know, i've been teaching some video  
game classes at a "career college" in Anaheim. so far so good - my  
students are amazing. in anycase, my friend Jonathan Mann came down  
to talk to my class about his dynamic web and video persona, GameJew,  
and the amazing amount of attention he's been receiving for his  
series of bi-weekly episodes that he began airing on http:// 
youtube.com earlier this summer and more recently at http:// 
screwattack.com. he just so happened to tote along his camera for the  
trek down south, and the class is featured in one of his latest  
episodes, GameJew No. 7 - in fact the whole episode is dedicated to  
education...

5. Google Party featured in upcoming issue of Leonardo Journal, vol.  
40, no. 1 (Jan/Feb 2007)

hey, so my recipe for a Google Party will be featured in Leonardo  
Journal in January 2007. Franklin Furnace phenom Martha Wilson has  
curated/edited a recurring section in the journal dealing with  
performance and the internet... i'll probably remind you about it  
when it actually comes out in a few months, but i mention it here  
simply because Halloween is just around the corner and you might  
still be wondering what to wear this year. i might have a suggestion  
(or a method) for you...
