I was composer-in-residence for the Native American Composers Apprentice Project (NACAP), during the last week of August 2006. I worked with 5 music students at Hopi High School on the Hopi Reservation in Arizona to help them develop string quartets. The resulting works were performed by the New York string quartet, Ethel, at the Grand Canyon Music Festival in September.
