On the 28th of April - this Thursday - the CERCLE BLANC gallery @ .HBC will open its gates. The Cercle Blanc gallery space will a particular place from its first day. We do what we want, and we only want to have people around us who understand this.
Le Cercle Blanc Gallery is run by Luci Lux and Max Dax.
The first exhibition will be this Thursday, April 28th. It's titled L.A. NAPOLI and will present works by artists from Los Angeles and Napoli as well as pieces by artists from other cities who feel connected to the topic.
Why Los Angeles, why Naples? It's because these two cities are so linked! The fear of death, the sea/mare, the superstition, the drag heritage, the moloch-ness of the two cities...
L.A. NAPOLI will be the definitive place to gather on 28th of April.
At midnight we will present a unique performance by Margret Köll (harp) and Armin Linke/Matteo Fraterno (video) and a special premiere of a new film featuring Holly Woodlawn. Following that will be a screening of Abel Ferrara's new film "Napoli, Napoli, Napoli".
Meanwhile, from 1:30am on, Max Dax and Jeff Jaws will perform a special VUP Lounge DJ set at the .HBC bar.
