about the workshop:
Explore some basic, but highly effective massage and touch techniques that don't require getting undressed or using any cream, oil, or special equipment - all we'll need are our hands, fingers, forearms, elbows, gravity, a little common sense, and the willingness to listen to our partner. No former massage experience required! Please come with someone you trust, or be willing to trust another participant for the duration of the workshop.
Participants in this workshop are highly encouraged, but not required, to donate some of their new-found massage skills by taking on a brief 45-60 minute massage shift on Sunday April 5th, as part of the experimental music & massage series, to be held next door to LACE between 4-7pm.
Cost: Free
RSVP: space is limited to 14 to 20 people, so please send an RSVP at least two days in advance: a@plus1plus1plus.org
Necessary materials: something comfortable to wear, bottled water, and pen/paper to take notes

artSpa, VOLUME, and LACE present the experimental music & massage series, featuring the experimental music of Ezra Buchla, David Kendall, and Gerhard Schultz, with chair massage by Adam Overton and a small cadre of recently certified experimental music & massage therapists.
experimental music & massage is being presented on Sunday April 5th, as part of the final day of Resonant Forms, a three day festival at LACE (4/3-4/5) showcasing new voices in the emergent fields of experimental electronic music, live cinema and sound art. experimental music & massage will run concurrently with that evening's program, from 4-7pm, at the Paul G. Gleason Theatre next door.
experimental music & massage is free and open to the public.
